Confused about how to register for the RIBO exam?

A very common question I get from students who have completed the RIBO 1 course is: how can I register for the RIBO exam?

WHAT IS THE RIBO EXAM?

RIBO stands for Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario. They are the self-regulatory body for insurance brokers in Ontario and they administer the licenses, examinations, continuing education, and disciplinary action for brokers in the province. If you want to become an insurance broker in Ontario, you need to take a RIBO 1 course and then pass the RIBO 1 exam.

SO, HOW CAN I REGISTER?

Once you feel like you’re ready to write the exam, all you need to do is complete the Broker Information Request form on the RIBO website. Once completed, RIBO will mail you an exam and license application form within a few weeks. All you have to do now is complete the form choosing your exam dates and location and send it back to RIBO along with the required exam fee.
