I read in a recent article that only 36.7% of people pass the Level 1 General Insurance licensing exam in Alberta.  In an industry where 25% of the workforce is starting to retire over the next few years, the insurance industry in Alberta just isn’t getting the recruits they need to fill the talent gap.

While there are many bright minds working on this problem, suggesting that the CAIB exams be allowed as an option, etc. there hasn’t been any real movement on the topic.

Our goal with the recent release of our Alberta Level 1 course is to beat this 36.7% number.  So far, things look good but I’ll update this post when we have more solid data.
